Fallen Sailor: Joseph Vanasky

Joseph's story is sadly one that is similar to many of the brave young men who died in WWII. His call to war happened just when his life was beginning, like many others during this time. However, his story is special in my experience learning about his life and meeting surviving family members. His life was given not in vain, and not only changed the lives of the people he was with before his death in 1944. He changed my life, too.
